Privacy policy

Last updated: October 15, 2026

Who is responsible

The controller of your personal data is Emanuele Casabona, VAT IT02293040990, Via Giuseppe Tomaselli 1, 20142 Milano, Italia. You can reach me at info@latet.ai for anything about this policy or your data.

What this policy covers

This policy covers two websites: this one, latet.ai, and the documentation, docs.latet.ai.

It does not cover:

  • The Latet software. It runs on your computer and sends nothing to me: no telemetry, no analytics, no license checks. What it protects stays with you.
  • github.com, where Latet’s source code, issues and discussions live. GitHub’s own privacy statement applies there.

Technical logs kept by the hosting providers

When you open a page, the server that delivers it records the request: your IP address, the page, the date and time, and what your browser sends about itself (its name and version, the page you came from). This is needed to deliver the pages and to keep the sites secure. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in running secure websites (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

  • latet.ai is hosted by OVHcloud (OVH SAS, France, in the European Union), which processes these logs on my behalf under its data processing agreement.
  • docs.latet.ai is hosted by GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., United States). GitHub records the same kind of data for security, under its own privacy statement. Transfers to the United States are covered by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, under which GitHub is certified.

I do not use these logs to build profiles, and I do not combine them with other data.

Email to info@latet.ai

If you write to me, I receive your email address, your name if you give it, and what you write. I use them to answer you and, if you ask about a commercial license, to make you an offer and enter into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Invoices and the records needed for them are kept for ten years, as Italian law requires (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR; Article 2220 of the Italian Civil Code). Other emails are kept for as long as the conversation needs, and deleted when they are no longer useful.

The mailbox is hosted by OVHcloud (OVH SAS, France), which keeps a copy of each message. A rule forwards each message to a Gmail account (Google), which may transfer data to the United States under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

The waitlists

There are two waitlists, each for one email: one to hear when Latet can be installed, on the home page until then, and one to hear when Latet Enterprise is available, on the home page and on the Enterprise page. If you leave your email address in one of their forms, I keep it with the list it is for and the time you gave your consent, and nothing else. I use it for one thing: to send you that list’s one email from info@latet.ai. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).

The address is kept on the latet.ai hosting at OVHcloud (OVH SAS, France, in the European Union), apart from the website’s files, and I share it with no one. It is deleted once that email has been sent, or earlier if you ask; the hosting’s backups may keep it for a few days more, until they are replaced (OVHcloud keeps them for up to 14 days). To withdraw your consent, write to info@latet.ai: your address is deleted, and what was done before stays lawful.

To stop the form being abused, a one-way code derived from your IP address and the hour is kept for at most two hours, never the IP address itself: it limits how many addresses one connection can add in an hour. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in keeping the form usable (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). The request that sends the form appears in the hosting’s technical logs like any page, without your email address.

Cookies and storage in your browser

These sites set no cookies, use no analytics and load nothing from other websites: fonts, images and videos are served by the sites themselves.

Your browser keeps only these choices, on your device:

  • on latet.ai, the language you picked from the language menu (local storage);
  • on docs.latet.ai, light or dark mode (local storage) and the state of the side menu (session storage).

They are never sent to me or to anyone else, and they serve only functions you asked for. They are technical storage, which needs no consent under Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code and the guidelines of the Italian data protection authority (Garante). You can delete them at any time from your browser’s settings.

Your rights

You can ask me to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format (Articles 15 to 21 GDPR). Write to info@latet.ai; I answer within one month.

You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, or with the authority of the EU country where you live or work.

No decision about you is made by automated means, and your data is never sold.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with its date.
